Smart Personal Cloud (Windows)


Smart Personal Cloud1 E2 for SkanApp3.

Smart Personal Cloud E edition (version allows automatic and manual File Transfer between Windows PCs and Android devices with SkanApp (version 4.39+).


  • Direct file transfer over WiFi network (Internet is not required).
  • Internet File transfer over Mobile Network, if available and enabled 4.
  • Internet File transfer over remote/public WiFi networks4.
  • Save files to any Cloud (when the destination folder is synchronized by the Cloud software, such as Dropbox, etc..).
  • Peer-to-Peer communication protocol, no configuration is necessary.
  • Network Shares (new feature in version 3.0) make it possible to save files on Windows and non-Windows computers.
  • Simple user interface to authorize File Transfer for specific Android devices.

The installation package consists of two files – setup.exe and SetupGo2Get.msi.

Windows® 10

  1. Turn on .NET Framework 3.5 Windows Feature:
    1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard, type “Windows Features”, and press Enter. The Turn Windows features on or off dialog box appears.
    2. Select the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) check box, select OK, and reboot your computer if prompted.
  2. Right-click on the setup.exe file and select the Run as administrator option.
  3. Follow the instructions of the Installation Wizard.

Windows® 8/7/Vista/XP

  1. Right-click on the setup.exe file and select the Run as administrator option.
  2. If prompted, agree to install .NET Framework 3.5
  3. Follow the instructions of the Installation Wizard.

NOTE: When installing the Smart Personal Cloud on a laptop, ensure the laptop is connected to the WiFi network over which the File Transfer will take place. That will configure Windows Firewall to allow SPC to work on the proper network.

1Smart Personal Cloud (SPC) is a multi-user distributed system to digitize and organize digital content.
2E(ssential) – a subset of SPC, includes configuration utility (MS Windows Xp/Vista/7/8/10) for SkanApp and peer-to-peer network protocol.
3SkanApp – Augmented Reality document scanning app for Android OS (KitKat and above) is available on Google Play Store.
4Port Forwarding must be enabled on WiFi router for port 7888 and one of the PCs running SPC. That PC can also provide access to other PCs working as a relay, provided the Android device has necessary access permissions.
